Christ walks upon waters. God, like an eagle, flies above the storm. The Holy Spirit lifts up whom God wills. If we keep our eyes upon God, we too can rise above the tempest-tossed trials of our lives.

“And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
“And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”
— Matthew 14:25, 28-31 (KJV)

Jesus Christ invited Peter to come to Him, walking upon the water, above the troubled deep. God too invites us above the storm where the eagle flies.

If we place our sights upon God, if we keep our spirit in His presence, then we will be above the storm. We will be above the world and its woes. If we set our love upon Him and keep it there, then we shall be saved from the tempest.

Reach up with your heart. Pray for the strength. And hold fast to that love with all the energy of your heart. Catch the hem of God, and DO NOT LET GO.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
