Perfect Timing

Marci was very late. Though she hurried into her car (banging her hand on the handle and getting tangled in her purse strap in the process), she knew nothing could get her to work on time.

She’d prayed in the morning, but nothing quite seemed to go her way. Burnt toast. Cold shower. An ill-timed call from her mom.

“Come on, come on.” She pulled out onto the road and out toward the highway… where traffic crawled to a halt.

There was a ten-car pileup right where she would have been had she been on time. Oh.

“Thank you, Lord.”
