“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” — Isaiah 30:21

“So you’re waiting for epiphany, huh?” Elise demanded from across their dorm.
Cassie didn’t glance up from her philosophy homework. Professor Andrews wouldn’t care if she stopped for philosophical discussion, but he would about her grade. Go figure.
But Elise was not put off. “Inspiration. Lightning to strike you from on High.”
Cassie did look up at that. “Wouldn’t that hurt?”
Elise groaned. “Not that kind of lightning. You know. Where God reaches down and zaps you with Eureka.”
“I prefer the still, small voice.” Cassie held back a smile.
Elise looked thunderstruck. “But then you would have to listen.”
