I’ve heard quite a bit about the current situation in our country. Most feel we are too corrupt, too far gone for God to step in and turn this nation around in the right direction. I’ve had the same feeling at times also. It can be easy to give in to the feeling that there is no point in hoping because the people seem to be bent on destroying themselves and all that is good with them.

I completely agree that God does not override the will of the people, even when they are set upon destruction. I also know that we, those who are praying to God right now and seeking His face also have a will. We have a will for revival. We desire restoration and God’s mercy. We pray for repentance among those who are called by God’s name.

I can tell you this, man cannot fix this mess. We can’t legislate our way back to God. We can’t vote the ship to turn around its course and magically be back on track. It’s the heart of this nation that is sick. It’s God’s people that He calls to repent. The way back to God (and His blessings) is found on our knees.

It seems hopeless to think that this nation CAN turn around because without God it IS hopeless. But WITH God, all things are possible. God, not man, can do anything! I repeat, God can do anything.

It seems impossible that the nation would choose righteous leaders that so many are just hoping for the best “electable” candidates, but GOD can do anything!

We are seeing revivals big and small across this nation, young people turning to God or fighting for what is right, people are making stands for God on the football field, in the pulpit, in their public service jobs, and at the voter’s box.

Can we open our minds and our hearts big enough to believe for the impossible? Can we remember that we serve a limitless God and dare to hope for His Mighty Hand to be shown again here in our nation? Can hold onto that hope despite what it looks like on the outside?

I believe that there will be revival and that it is happening already, on whatever scale. I believe that revival can come even when there is great judgement on a people, and that even that judgment itself can help bring about the wake-up call needed. Remember Nineveh? God said He would destroy it, but the people repented and He didn’t destroy the city.

Can we open our minds to believe that God can do ANYTHING?

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!” Matthew 23:37

I believe that God can help His children to return unto Him. I believe that He wants to save His children from destruction. If our hearts are humble before Him, seeking His face, He CAN do the impossible and even bring a generation to the saving knowledge of Himself. He can help us to return unto Him as a nation. He can work miracles in this day and in this time, if we will only believe.

“And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37

I believe, and know, God can do anything!
