This magazine-like booklet is both beautiful to look at and read, with its painted illustrations and clear tables and timelines, and also packed full of a great deal of information concerning the Jewish temple. It doesn’t skimp on any of the mentioned points, covering the various iterations of the temple throughout history and in prophecy, as well as applying the principles and services to our own lives.
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” — 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NKJV
There is a great deal of prophecy concerning how the temple will figure in the end times and also quite a few verses applying to how we should be living as temples. The temple was more than just a building, but also a symbol.
This is an excellent resource for understanding the temple and I would recommend it for any library, but it’s also a good resource for fitting the temple into the prophesies of the end times and understanding what it’s going to look like, how the lost artifacts like the Ark of the Covenant or the High Holy Days fit into this picture of our future.
