What Is Truth?
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” (John 14:6)
“Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)
“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (John 14:15-17)
“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.” (John 15:26)
“Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, And Your law is truth.
“You are near, O Lord, And all Your commandments are truth.” (Psalms 119:142 * 151)

“This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.” (1 John 5:6)
What Does Truth Do?
“Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill.” (Psalms 43:3)
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’” (John 8:31-32)
“It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.” (John 17:19)
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13-15)
What Are We To Do With The Truth?
“These are the things you shall do: Speak each man the truth to his neighbor; Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace; Therefore love truth and peace.” (Zechariah 8:16 & 19 (last phrase))
“For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3 John 1:3-4)

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23-24)
“…who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1Timothy 2:4)

“Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,” (1 Peter 1:22)
“But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (John 3:21)
Webster’s Dictionary defines truth as: Conformity to fact or reality. It defines true as: Faithful to fact or reality.
In the books written by Annalee Skarin, truth is defined as: what was, what is, and what will be.
As you have seen in the forgoing verses, scripture tells us that Truth is a Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. We must live true to that Spirit’s guidance and direction in order to affect the changes God has said that must come in us to prepare us to be “born of the Spirit”. Being born of the Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, makes us free indeed.
God bless you all.
