“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.” (John 16:13-14)

The Pathway of Light

flowerThere is a Satan snare that is horrendous in its results and sneaky in its appearance. That snare is the lie that it is sometimes God’s will to have His children learn about or use things from the dark side to understand or do things for the Light.

Do not be deceived! God does not need nor use darkness for any purpose. The Light has nothing whatsoever to do with the dark as scriptures clearly point out:

The Bible says:

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, “And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 KJV)

Jesus had this to say about it when He was accused of using darkness:

“But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

“And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.’” (Matthew 12:24-28 KJV)

GOD IS LOVE AND LIGHT AND HE DOES NOT SEND HIS CHILDREN THROUGH DARK TEACHINGS OR USE UNGODLY THINGS TO ACCOMPLISH HIS PURPOSES.

HE KEEPS HIS CHILDREN CLOSE TO HIM AND TEACHES THEM TRUTH AND WISDOM AND GUIDES THEIR LIVES IN LOVE AND LIGHT UNTIL THEY ARE FILLED WITH HIS GLORY AND THEY ARE LIKE HIM.

It Must Be in the Heart

“O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever.” (Deuteronomy 5:29 KJV)

We Are Accountable to God

So often we live our lives without considering our accountability to God. It does not matter whether we believe in Him or not, WE ARE accountable to God for all that we do and for all that we are, i.e., what we have done and what we are doing and what we have made of ourselves, with the precious gift of life with which God has endowed us.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has given us clear teachings about our accountability For example:

“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37 KJV)

“And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. ” (Luke 16:1-2 KJV)

“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass (during the end times), and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:36 KJV)

Scripture (The Bible) goes on to reinforce the Lord’s words about our accountability:

“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.” (Romans 14:12-13 KJV)

“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:1-2 KJV)

“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” (Hebrews 13:17 KJV)

Yes, we are accountable to God for our very lives. Indeed, we have free will and God will not interfere with it, however, we must give an account to God as to how we use it!
